Sanae Hanekoma, at first glance, is a humble and cool-cat owner of the WildKat coffee shop (see what I did there) which, of course, he is. Though that's far from all that "Mr. H" is. Usually calm and respectful, he rarely interferes with others unless it's to give a gentle nudge in the right direction. Though under extreme circumstance, he does take a stand to point out something that needs to be changed or to help mankind--something he often does during the three weeks of Neku's Game (though to be fair, the entirety of the game is an extreme circumstance).

He loves to tease those he interacts with; just your Grade A oddball and jokester. He never reveals all that he knows yet dodging the proverbial bullet in admitting his full role in the Reaper's Game or both Shibuyas in general. When asked about himself, he often goes on a tangeant until stopped as if he's reciting a personal ad and laughs off some things seemingly without much thought.
